Description
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is pleased to offer internship opportunities for graduate students. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience in the dynamic and impactful field of healthcare policy and administration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on healthcare policy issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Medicaid and Medicare programs.
- Collaborate with CMS teams on data analysis, reporting, and policy initiatives.
- Support outreach and engagement efforts with stakeholders and the public.
- Contribute to the creation of reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
- Pursuing a degree in Public Health, Health Policy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Strong academic record and a passion for healthcare policy and administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
- Previous coursework or experience in healthcare policy, public health, or related areas is a plus.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs is advantageous.
Skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
